We provide free counselling for those who don't have the means to access mental health care.

Therapy is an essential health care service that should be accessible to everyone. Haven Community Counselling was created to address some of the needs for accessible mental health care in our community. We envision a community where mental health care is available for everyone when they need it.

Who provides the services?

Haven Community Counselling is made possible by hosting Masters level interns for the practicum portion of their licensing journey. The interns are highly educated and qualified to provide supervised counselling. â€‹

Who can access services?

Counselling services are available for free to adults (18+) who do not have insurance or means to access mental health services.

How do I access services?

The first step is to reach out either by phone or email. You will be screened for suitability and, if appropriate, matched with a counselling intern.

Yellow Couch
Haven Community Counselling is made possible by funding from Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia and the donation of space and resources by Headstart Child & Family Therapy.
